Feeling Meri
Sorry for not posting any audio on this but Tumblr only allows one per day and all mine are focused on my Warped Tour compilation right now.
From time to time I will get a new album and listen to it until I vomit (e.g. Dance Gavin Dance, A Love Like Pi, Watchout! Theres Ghosts). Once you listen to an album 100 times though you just gotta take a break. It’s about that time when you get stuck wondering what to listen to while you wait for the next album to come along.
For me, there is one band that I always turn to during these times. That band is a little known group from Louisiana called Meriwether.
Meriwether is an odd band. I can’t group them into one single genre. They have vocal range like Fall Out Boy. They have hard riffs like hardcore bands. They have deep piano melodies like The Fray. They have catchy lyrics that are almost impossible to avoid singing to.
Pretty much everybody who I have suggested this band to, that have actually taken my advice, has loved it.
Do yourself a huge favor and check them out. You wont be let down.
