Congratulations to Clifton Smith for making the 2009 NFL Pro Bowl after starting the season undrafted and on the practice squad.  Smith, who was, arguably, the heart and soul of the Fresno State Bulldogs football team during his tenure has made a name for himself in the NFL, making the Pro Bowl in his rookie year.

Smith, who is a running back, tried out for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers squad which was loaded at the RB position this year (e.g. Ernest Graham, Warrick Dunn, Cadillac Williams) and finally made the special teams unit in week 6 of the 2008 season.  Since then, he has solidified his position in the NFL, as was the case in college, as an elite kick/punt returner.

Good work Clifton “Batman” Smith

*Side note: Thumbs down to the pro bowl voters for snubbing Logan Mankins (Offensive Lineman, NE Patriots) and Lorenzo Neal (arguably the best Fullback of the last decade).
