If you didn’t listen to the song I posted earlier this week, this is my new guilty pleasure. Lately I have been falling in love with movies and music that really defy my usual taste.
3OH!3 is the latest in this group. Techno crunk rhymes mixed together with soulful singing and the occasional laugh are what makes this duo from Boulder, Colorado, or as they call it Ballerado, a brilliant twist on the indy rock scene. Two wiry white kids in tight pants talking about getting wild in the club just seems like such a joke but the way they carry themselves over their beats just makes me want to keep listening.
This video, which appears to be shot on cheap digital camcorders, captures just how great this fish out of water group is.
