RISE AXELBLOG

That’s what I saw when I clicked on the NCAA tab on FoxSports.com.  I absolutely love the fact that the Bulldogs are getting such an immense amount of respect this season.  I just hope the hype doesn’t get to them.
Here’s the link to the story.
Though tough, our schedule is not impossible.
Rutgers was a flash in the pan in 2006.  Since then, they have returned to being an average team who, without their star running back from last season, can definitely be beat.
Wisconsin is a stellar team and their projected top-fifteen rank is deserved.  Unfortunately for them, they will be coming into our house in the September Fresno heat.  They might not be prepared.
UCLA was a disappointment last season and, under a brand new coach, should struggle this season as well.
Toledo is a warm up game for the WAC conference schedule.
Hawaii will be nowhere near as good as they were last year.  Colt Brennan and the strength of their wide receiver core are gone and the Warriors will likely not finish in the top 3 in the WAC this season. (Nevada and their young talented QB will though)
Boise State.  I hate those f*cking Broncos.  This game, played on the Boise “Smurf Turf” could present a challenge.  Though their team doesn’t look as good as they have been the last 2 years, the Bulldogs have never fared well against Boise on the road (1-6 in the last 7 meetings).  This could make or break our BCS hopes.
Wildcard:
Nevada has gone under the WAC radar the last several years.  What with Boise and Hawaii crashing the BCS party and Fresno playing high-caliber opponents, it is easy to forget that Nevada has a good football team too.  Colin Kaepernick was WAC freshman of the year at QB for the Wolf Pack and RB Luke Lippincott is very underrated.  They could surprise the Bulldogs as we usually give up a WAC loss to an unexpected team.  The Wolf Pack from Reno could turn out to be the Biggest Little Upset for the dogs.
