The Future of Batman
I am, like you all are I’m sure, so happy to see the Batman saga casting great actors for side characters in the new movies.
Christian Bale, Michael Caine, Morgan Freeman, Heath Ledger, Aaron Eckhart to name a few. Hell, even Cillian Murphy did a great job with the Scarecrow. I decided, in my bored state, to compile a list of possible re-dos of Batman villains we could see in the future.
Tell me what you think.
Harvey Dent/Two Face
This one, for those of you that currently live under a rock, is already set. Although I believe Tommy Lee Jones to be a far superior actor, I think his eccentric portrayal of the character, as were all of the villains in the old movies, took away from the performance.

The Penguin
In keeping the new trend of great actors, I think Hoffman would make an excellent Penguin. He’s already shown that he can pretty much play any role (See Copote vs. Boogie Nights) and he has the size and shape to do it.

The Riddler
I really respect William DeFoe and I think his acting is criminally underrated. The only problem I could see here is that he already played Spider Man’s Green Goblin. Though, with enough time between that I believe we could forget that role.

Catwoman
The concept of Catwoman is, this blogger believes, very corny. Seeing that she is one of the most famous villains in the world of Batman, we have to acknowledge that her inclusion to the new series is inevitable. That being the case, I think I would leave the job to Natalie Portman. She has the shape and I think she is an amazing actress.

Mr. Freeze
I love Arnold as much as the next guy but Mr. Freeze from Batman and Robin was, by far, the corniest of all villains of the series. I bet Bruce Willis can make us forget that.

Poison Ivy
The hair is there, the great acting is there. No brainer. Tilda Swinton.

And Just for kicks,
Robin
Shia Labeouf, just kidding.
I will go with Emile Hirsch.

Let me know if you have any other good ideas.
BTW, this took me a long time and (although it may not seem like it) hard work. I personally don’t think it was worth it. But, I am bored so oh well.
