A Little Relief

About a year ago, I started hearing rumors that a movie was going to be made based off of the Chuck Palahniuk novel, Choke, easily one of my favorites. I was excited about the news because Palahniuk also wrote the novel Fight Club, of which was adapted to my favorite movie ever.
About 3 months ago, I saw a trailer for the movie, which was directed by Clark Gregg. I was a little upset. Okay, I was a lot upset. The book was a dark depressing tale of a very troubled man that was sprinkled with tasteless humor(one of my favorite types of humor). The trailer made the movie out to be a catchy comedy about sexual endeavors.
You could say that I was spoiled by David Fincher’s portrayal of Fight Club, but I honestly thought Choke would be better than this.
Well, a few minutes ago, I received a new Red Band (that’s R-Rated) trailer was released that explored in a little more detail, the basis of the story.
Although I am still a little upset at the direction Gregg took on the film, I will sleep a little better knowing that Victor Mancini’s dark side does exist.
I will still, also, see the movie when it comes out.
I will still, as well, continue to recommend the book to anyone that knows how to read.
