RISE AXELBLOG

Irony?

At work, I have this one boss and she is pretty much that one person that everyone in the store hates.  And she likely knows it.  Today I arrive at work fashionably late, and unfashionably tired, and when I get to my cubicle I realized she had placed a stack of books on my desk.  At 7:45am there are plenty of stacks I would like to see, for instance; pancakes, waffles, money, etc. But books are definitely not a welcomed sight.

These books are what we call “No Value.”  Books that were good to go last semester have now magically transformed into kindling, that is unless I can work my textbook powers and salvage what little value this book has left via eBay’s sister site Half.Com.

So, this she-devil who never speaks to me except to scold me for using my cell phone when there is nothing left to do at work leaves this stack of books for me to resuscitate back to retail life without so much as a thank you.  And the bad part is that at some point, when the excessively tardy teacher finally orders this book for their class next semester, Little Miss Bitchy will go and take the book from my inventory warehouse (a.k.a. broom closet) without telling me, leaving me to explain to my customer why I am advertising books that I don’t have.

The most audacious part of the whole situation is that the books she left for me are titled…drumrol please…

“The Labor Relations Process”

I think I will leave one for her to read.  She obviously needs it more than I do.
