Warped Weekend

Warped Tour was awesome this weekend.  Here’s a list of bands I saw:

  1. Attack Attack! - They sounded great live
  2. Dance Gavin Dance - Sweet cowbell solo and a crab-dude in the pit
  3. Escape The Fate - Their crow was 20 times bigger than the last time I saw them at warped
  4. BrokenCYDE - Watched from the beer garden, which was close enough
  5. Underoath - Aaron is starting to look like Shaun White
  6. Bayside - Never gets old.  I ended up launching 8+ crowd surfers
  7. A Skylit Drive - Jag needs to buy some new clothes
  8. 3OH!3 - Absolutely KILLED it.  Biggest crowd I’ve seen for one band at Warped ever
  9. Senses Fail - Buddy, despite his emo-rants, was very entertaining
  10. I Set My Friends On Fire - Yuck, that lasted 1 song
  11. NOFX - Racist Joke-Off was hilarious
  12. I Stole My Mother’s Milk Money - hung out with them all day*

Here’s some quick hitters about other stuff that happened through the day:

  • Saw my best friend in the world and some other old friends. It was awesome to hang out with Matt and Swig again.
  • My backpack broke twice.
  • I am so bummed that I missed Scary Kids Scaring Kids but 3OH!3 was just too good to leave early and walk all the way across the venue.
  • My cousin Ashley showing up was random.  Wish I could of seen her but she was luckier than me and got to hang out backstage all day.
  • $12 beers hurt my wallet
  • Filly was waaay too non-PC on the Muni.
  • Unfortunately I was too beat to mosh after Bayside and hung in the back of the crowd for the rest of the bands.
  • Got an idea for an awesome shirt from Scary Kids.  Ask Fortner about “Tweet Tweet Mutha F#cka”
  • Saw a coffee shop in SF called “Squat & Gobble”  awkward!

All in all, it was an awesome day!  Everyone should go to a Warped Tour at least once in their life.

*The fake band that Ryan made up.  We played at 5:45 at the Kevin Says Stage.
