Dogs on the Move
Congratulations to Fresno State Diamond Dogs, Tommy Mendonca and Tanner Scheppers for being drafted by the Texas Rangers in the 2nd Round and 1st Compensatory round, respectively, of yesterday’s MLB draft.
Both Mendonca and Scheppers were members of the 2008 National Champion Team, though Scheppers was injured and did not play in the CWS.
Mendonca was the star of the 2009 team, breaking the all-time home run record for the Bulldogs.
Keep your eyes peeled for these guys playing in the near future. Mendonca is a serious 3rd Baseman and Scheppers was highly recruited last season.
