Back to my Roots
Rockin’ Roots was amazing yesterday. We had a ton of fun, but at the end of the day, we couldn’t wait to get home. Now, a day later, I am ridiculously sore but I came out of the whole day on top.
The following is a list of the bands we watched, in order between 1:20pm and 9pm:
- Karate High School
- Watchout! Theres Ghosts
- Closure in Moscow
- I Hate Kate
- Envy on the Coast
- Dance Gavin Dance
- A Skylit Drive
- Saosin
- Anberlin
The Higher was the only band I could not see because of time conflicts. W!TG, Closure in Moscow and The Higher all played in the same 15 minute block.
Here are some of the highlights:
- Filly flirted with the guy at the Beer Garden so we got hooked up with Amber Bock all day.
- Filly jumped on stage for W!TG and did the robot…twice.
- Envy On The Coast absolutely killed it. Unfortunately, we were moshing in a dust pit and all legs, teeth, and shirts had a thick layer of dirt on them by the end of their set.
- Karate H.S. being hilarious throughout their whole set.
- Seeing a giant mob of people on the stage for the Millionaires kept my eyes off of ASD for a lil bit.
- Found an iPod Touch on the ground.
- Hanging out with my baby all day.
- Anberlin taking the time to make sure the sound was perfect for their set…it was.
Anyways, as of right now, I may be a little too burned out to get stoked for Warped at the end of the month but give it a couple weeks.
