RISE AXELBLOG

Universal Pictures and Hasbro, Inc. formed the partnership in 2008 to produce at least four motion pictures based on some of the world’s best-known and beloved brands. Currently in development are Monopoly, with Ridley Scott set to produce and direct and Pamela Pettler writing the screenplay; Candyland, with Kevin Lima to direct based on a script from Etan Cohen; Clue, with Gore Verbinski to produce and direct; Ouija, with Michal Bay to produce; and Battleship, with Peter Berg to direct from a screenplay by Jon and Erich Hoeber.

Are you effing kidding me?  Look at the list of talent attatched to these, seemingly, horrible movie ideas.

Even worse, this comes from a story about the Stretch Armstrong movie being produced by Brian Grazer (A Beautiful Mind, American Gangster).

In a few years when you mention Grazer, it may look like this:
Brian Grazer (A Beautiful Mind, Stretch Armstrong)

No no no.  I don’t like this at all.

UPDATE: Here’s more fun credits…

  • Ridley Scott (GI Jane, Gladiator, Monopoly)
  • Ethan Cohen (Fargo, No Country For Old Men, Candyland)
  • Gore Verbinski (Pirates of the Caribbean, Clue)
  • Michael Bay (Armageddon, Transformers, Ouija)
  • Peter Berg (Friday Night Lights, The Kingdom, Battleship)
