Oh Captains, my Captains!
The whole entire time we were watching Uruguay v. Ghana last Friday, I was trying to figure out who Uruguay Team Captain Diego Forlan looked like (For some reason Gary Busey kept coming up).  RJ Pallari finally got the connection and we realized he looked like the Captain of the Northwestern, Sig Hansen from Deadliest Catch.

patrickcassels: This movie looks like American Psycho by way of the Coen Bros., which is to say: awesome. So excited.  Casey Affleck is the sh*t.  He’s an all around great actor.

The Longest 6 Hours
Fridays are that fun day at the end of the week.  All you got to do is get through these last hours and you will be birthed from the womb of occupation into the wonderful world of Weekend.   What happens when those last hours never end? Thats what happened to me yesterday; my Friday lasted, well, till Saturday.   I started my shift at 7:30 am, with a cup of joe and a smile.  Who doesn’t...

Fearless Oscar Predictions
It is once again Oscar season and after countless hours of sitting in RJ’s living room dissecting this year’s nominees I am ready to announce my predictions. Key: Who will win/Who Should Win/Overrated Best Picture: Up In The Air/Precious/The Hurt Locker Up In The Air was a good movie, with good actors, and a good director.  But that’s all it was; good.  Precious was amazing....

To Sacramento, With Love. →
In my inability to fall asleep, I started browsing ESPN.com’s “Page 2” section (which I highly reccomend).  I found this great article on the Sacramento Kings, and more important, their amazing fans. P.S. I was this close to purchasing tickets to that Kings-Cavs game on wednesday.  Too bad I didn’t.

I Dreamed A Dream
I had a dream that I met God and he was in the shape of a large grey cloud and he was actually a really cool guy. He explained how the 5th Moon of Jupiter was the coolest place to hang out in the Universe but he was 86’ed for two months for throwing up at the bar. He called our moon the “Toilet of the Universe.” He also said that Richard Bronson takes his rocket ship to...

2nd Chance
Let me tell you a story about a man named Tom. Tom was a dacent quarterback for his college team; not quite good enough to be called an elite player. he went to the draft and got picked up in the 6th round. Tom was poised to do his job and try to make the team. and he did. One day, there was a terrible accident and the starting quarterback, a veteran of sorts, sustained an injury. Tom got...

Last Meals
After reading Amanda Lynn Ferri’s last post, I decided to check out the Wiki page for Death Row Last Meals.  Here’s some of my favorites: Allen Lee Davis—350-pound “Tiny” Davis had one lobster tail, fried potatoes, a half-pound of fried shrimp, six ounces of fried clams, half a loaf of garlic bread, and 32 ounces of A&W root beer. Dennis Wayne Bagwell: Medium rare...

Finally! A Jim Johnson Story On ESPN →
First, as difficult as this will be, try your best to imagine me being very serious while saying this next line. The fact that it has been NINE F*CKING days since Johnson died and this is the first story I have seen on ESPN.COM is F*CKING LUDICROUS. With that being said, this is a very good article.  Jim Johnson is arguably the greatest Defensive Coordinator of the modern era of professional...

What an awkward video.  It seems very Monty Python-ish. My favorite part is at 1:10.  Hilarious if you didn’t catch it.

An Attempt At Short Fiction.
One day, a boy is playing fetch outside with his dog when the frisbee he threw caught a gust of wind and blew out into the street.  The dog gives chase and runs into the road to retrieve the disc when a pickup slams into the hound, killing him instantly.  The child runs into the street and collapses over his dog’s lifeless body shrieking in hysterical sadness.  Just then, the boy peers...
